Run survey and feedback to receive valuable insights from employees. Create, review and publish surveys seamlessly.

The Employee Lifecycle Surveys menu in the left panel under Account Administration deals with Internal Survey and Feedback. Run surveys with existing templates or build your own survey.

With our HR users’ benign feedback, we have addressed their concerns and suggestions with regards to the custom survey. With changes in the visualization of survey responses, the ability to clone existing surveys, and send reminders to users, the custom survey feature is a whole lot powerful.

When it comes to admins using the custom survey feature, we have equipped them with templates related to the employee life-cycle needs. This saves the cumbersome time, effort, and research to create those surveys from scratch.

The Empuls custom survey is manifold better than any other form-filling mechanism as the employees’ meta-data is already in the database, making it easy to analyze data by slicing-and-dicing it.

Create a your own Survey

  1. Click on CREATE SURVEY on the top right corner of the Employee Lifecycle Surveys page under Build your Own option.
  1. Click on Start from Scratch or click on one of the predefined templates to start creating a survey. This opens the survey details page.
  1. While starting the survey from scratch, enter survey title and details. Click on Proceed. This opens the survey content creation page.
  1. Enter the details in the survey content creation page.
  2. A question entered can be a short text type, ratings, multiple-choice and multiple choice with images. Clicking on the on the right corner provides an option to add a question description. We have also added the option of a Likert scale. Select a question type and add as many questions as you wish to.

  1. Once the survey design is completed, click on PROCEED. This takes you to the Publish form.
    In the publish form, select the anonymity settings of the survey, (fig 66.). Click on PUBLISH to publish the survey. This opens the pop-up that allows you to select the audience.

Send Invites to participate in a survey

  1. Clicking on PUBLISH opens the pop-up that allows you to select the audience. Fill in the specifics. Click SEND successfully send the survey to the selected participants.

Surveys should contain atleast one mandatory question.

Duplicate/Clone a Survey

Survey cloning now helps you create multiple variants of the same survey at the click of a button. Create duplicates and customize the cloned survey to make it better targeted to a different audience. And for the times when you are in a rush to collect feedback, you can now send email reminders to the respondents, also at the click of a button. Listening to your employees hasn’t been easier.

This feature is very useful in conducting a survey on a regular basis.

To duplicate a survey:

  • Go to Build you own under Employee Lifecycle Surveys under the Account Administration main menu.
  • Click on :⋮: , on the survey you wish to duplicate.
  • Select on Duplicate option available.
  • This takes you to Edit a survey page so that you can duplicate your existing survey and make any changes if necessary.

Send reminders to participate in the Survey

Easily send out reminders to users to participate in a Survey.

To send reminders:

  • Go to My Surveys under the Surveys main menu.
  • Click on the survey you wish to collect more data.
  • Click on SEND REMINDER.
  • Select Yes and a reminder is sent to all the non-responders of the survey.

View Survey Results

  1. Click on My Surveys item on the side panel to view the newly created survey as a block.

Download Survey Results

  1. Click on the block to open the details of the survey and view the entire response summary. Clicking on Download report gives the complete details of the responses (not applicable for anonymous surveys), namely, Employee Name, Employee Email, Employee ID, ‘Is Invited?’ status, Access Role Name, Department Name, Designation Name, Site Name and Cost Center Name - in EXCEL format.

  2. Click on SEND INVITES to send the survey to more recipients.

Make Survey Inactive

The term Inactive, in this case, means the survey will no longer accept responses. Data isn't lost. You can view the survey results whenever you wish.

To make a survey inactive,

  • Go to My Surveys on the left main menu Surveys.
  • Status of the Survey is shown whether it is Active or Inactive.
  • Click on an Active survey.
  • Toggle Switch to Inactive to make a survey inactive.

Delete a Survey

  1. Click on Build you own item under Employee Lifecycle Surveys left panel to view all the survey created till date.
  2. Click on the :⋮: next to the survey description to get an option of deleting a survey and click on DELETE.
  3. Select DELETE again to confirm the deletion. If you rather wish to make a survey inactive, which means survey no longer accepts responses, click on SET AS INACTIVE.

Note

Deleting a Survey means, all the data regarding the survey is deleted and cannot be retrieved.

How to use a Survey Template?

  1. Go to Create Survey page under Build your own under Employee Lifecycle Surveys under Account Administration main menu.
  2. Click on one of the predefined templates to start creating a survey. This opens the survey details page.
  3. Click on USE TEMPLATE to proceed with the survey.
  4. This opens up the Survey details page with the template questions. Edit the template or add new questions and follow the same steps as in creating a survey.

  1. Edit the survey name and purpose in the introduction.
  2. Edit a specific question by hovering on the question and click
  3. Add a new question at the end of the survey template.

The employees are not in their best emotional state and it is crucial that the organization gives them a hint that we are there for you. The most lucid form of communication for this problem is the COVID-preparedness survey.

Not only would this give an idea of how the teams are holding up, but the questions also clear out a lot of doubts with respect to communication, team-coordination, health, and fitness of the family and special care, if needed, to particular employees. With the morale down and people in fear, a positive message in the form of a COVID-preparedness survey would be a relief to the employees.

FAQs

Can I create my own template and use it multiple times?

Yes, you can create your template and use it as many times as you wish using the Duplicate Survey feature.

How do I get the Survey link which is already created?

You can select SEND INVITES on an active survey and copy the link by clicking on Get Survey Link.

Can I set expiration to Survey While creating?

No. This feature isn't available as of now. You can make a survey inactive to stop collecting more responses.
